There are many reasons why someone would forget to brush their teeth. I think we all might be guilty of doing it at least once in our lifetime. If you have recently changed your daily routine, or maybe you have not been in a habit of brushing on a daily basis already, it is critical that you establish a routine, including utilizing resources, to help you remember to brush and floss on a daily basis.
Some of our clients have written themselves post it notes, asked for help remembering, and even setting alarms on their phone. We want to share with you some of their top recommended apps to help you remember to maintain good oral hygiene.
Apps To Help You Remember to Brush and Floss
Text2Floss: This is a great SMS app that can send you invaluable oral hygiene information directly to your mobile phone via text message. The app will also send you reminders to brush and floss, as well as find one of our clinics close to you. This app works on iPhone or Android operating systems.
Brush Teeth: This is a great app that includes plenty of instructions on how to brush your teeth properly, and it even plays music! There are reminders for toothbrush replacement, appointment reminders for your oral exams and appointments in our office, and even brushing and flossing reminders. This is an iOS exclusive app and there is an android version coming soon.
Alarm: If you are a simple guy or gal, you may prefer just setting an alarm on your phone to remind you to brush and floss at certain times of the day. Both iPhones and Androids allow you to customize the notification ringtone and include a message about what you are being reminded to do.
